FAQ

Questions, answered

Do I need a desk phone or special hardware?

No. MyRingRing runs in your web browser on any computer. Native iPhone and Android apps are coming soon; until then you can add MyRingRing to your phone’s home screen and use it like an app.

Can I keep my existing business number?

Not yet. Today you pick a new local or toll-free number and it’s ready in about a minute. You can forward calls from your old number to it while you switch.

What happens when no one picks up?

On Team and Business, callers hear your greeting and hold music while we keep ringing your team. If nobody answers within the time you set, they can leave a voicemail. On Solo, calls go to voicemail.

Will it ring if the app isn’t open?

Calls ring in any open MyRingRing tab on your computer or phone. When you’re away, set your number to Forward to my mobile in Settings and calls ring your cell phone instead. Native iPhone and Android apps that ring even when closed are coming soon.

Are calls recorded?

You decide. Recording is on by default. When it’s on, every caller hears “This call may be recorded” before you pick up. Calls you make are recorded without an announcement, so say so where the law requires it. Turn recording off any time in Settings.

Can I call 911?

Not yet. MyRingRing can’t place emergency calls. Keep a mobile or landline for emergencies. Details

Which countries are supported?

Phone numbers in the United States and Canada today. Calling and texting to US and Canadian numbers is included in every plan.

Is my payment information safe?

Yes. You add your card right inside MyRingRing, but the card fields are run by Stripe, the payment company behind millions of businesses, so your card number goes straight to Stripe. Stripe is certified to PCI DSS Level 1, the highest level of card security. MyRingRing never sees or stores your full card number; we only keep the card brand, last 4 digits and expiry so you can recognise it. You get an emailed receipt for every charge and can see every invoice in the app.

When will I be charged?

When you choose your plan, for the first month (or year). After that, on the same day each month (or year). Adding an extra number partway through a month is charged for just the days left. You get an emailed receipt for every charge and can cancel any time.

Is there a contract?

No. Plans are month-to-month, or yearly at a 20% discount. Cancel any time.
