Messaging Policy & SMS Terms
Texts sent through MyRingRing are conversations between a business and its own customers. Here’s how the program works and what we expect from businesses that use it.
1. Who sends the messages
Each business on MyRingRing texts from its own business phone number. Messages are customer care and conversational: answering questions, confirming appointments and orders, sending quotes, photos and updates the customer asked for. MyRingRing provides the software; the business is the sender and is responsible for its messages.
2. How customers opt in
Customers opt in by texting the business first, by giving the business their number and asking to be contacted (for example when booking, ordering or requesting a quote), or by another clear opt-in the business collects. Businesses must keep a record of consent and must not text people who haven’t agreed to hear from them.
3. Opting out and getting help
- Reply STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE or QUIT to stop receiving texts from that business number. You may receive one message confirming you’ve opted out, and MyRingRing blocks any further texts to you from that number.
- To start again, reply START or text the business again.
- Reply HELP for help, or email support@myringring.com.
4. Frequency and charges
Message frequency varies depending on your conversation with the business. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
5. Privacy of mobile numbers
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. We share information only with the providers that deliver the messages, as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Rules for businesses
- Complete carrier registration (10DLC) before texting from a US number. We complete it with you; carrier registration fees may apply.
- Identify your business, keep messages relevant to what the customer asked for, and don’t send marketing blasts.
- Don’t send prohibited content. See our Acceptable Use Policy.
- Follow the TCPA, CTIA Messaging Principles, CASL in Canada, and carrier rules.
7. Supported countries
Texts can be sent to and from US and Canadian mobile numbers.
